ADVENTURE ACTIVITY:

Cadets are regularly selected and sent every year for rock climbing training to HMI Darjeeling, NIM uttar kashi, MIM Manali, Adventure Traveler Academy Gridih (Jharkhand), National Adventure Institute Panchmarhi and the adventure camps organized by Sainik Schools Society. In addition various other activities like river rafting, cycling expedition and trekking are organized to instill the spirits of adventure in the cadet.

GAMES & SPORTS

Games and sports are an integral part of school curriculum to make cadets physically fit and mentally robust.  Regular training is imparted in games and sports like hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, cross country and athletics.  The personnel of Army Physical Training Corps and Coaches from Sports Authority of India train the cadets in various games and sports. These schools have facilities for major games like volley ball, basket ball, football, hockey and cricket. Facilities for other games like table tennis, indoor badminton, pool, etc are also available. In addition to the above, regular competitions in athletics, marathon and cross country races are also organized.  Along with the outdoor games, indoor games are also given due place. Specialised coaching is imparted in various sporting disciplines by qualified coaches deputed by the SAI.

HOBBY CLUBS

Various clubs like Literary, Computer,Eco,Dramatics, Trekking, Cycling, Swimming, Art & Craft, Nature Study, Music and Dance, Karate, Band, Internet, Aerobics, Yoga, Riding and Equestrian Club function in the school.  Cadets are allowed to join any of the clubs according to their taste and interest.

NCC TRAINING

Compulsory NCC training is imparted right from Class VI to XII where by our cadets grow to be disciplined, honest, patriotic, secular and wedded to the national cause transcending all barriers of caste, creed and language. The School has an Independent Unit of NCC Junior Wing and Senior Wing.

LABORATORIES

The Schools are well-equipped with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics laboratories and Computer labs with the latest machines and broadband internet facility as well as multimedia teaching rooms that integrate technology with traditional methods. Modern teaching methods and a variety of both conventional and electronic training aids, like Over Head Projectors, Audio Video Player, VCD Players, LCD Projectors, etc are  used to make teaching more interesting and effective.

LIRRARY

Schools are having a state of art library to enhance the knowledge of cadets as well as the teachers.

OBSTACLE COURSE

Most of these Schools have  Obstacle Course, GTO Task Course as well as Individual Obstacle Course for SSB Training.

LANGUAGE LAB

Language lab help the cadets to improve their phonetics.

RIDING CLUBS

Almost all Sainik Schools got a good riding club to import the training to the cadets.

CSD CANTEEN

CSD  Canteen is available  almost in every Sainik School to cater for daily needs of the students and Cafeteria to  meet the additional needs of the students and visiting parents.  

SWIMMING POOL

Most of the Sainik Schools have modern swimming pool where boys are trained by the PI Staff. This is one of the most important activity in NDA.

GYMNASIUM

Most of these schools also  have gymnasium equipped with multigym equipments.
